TPL Receives an Order from POWERGRID |

Hyderabad, December 16, 2010: Tata Projects Limited (SBU – Transmission & Distribution) received an order from POWERGRID, a Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise and one of the largest transmission utilities in the world, for the supply and construction of 765 kV single circuit Chamradol – Satna section of Vindhyachal Pooling - Satna Ckt-I, Part-II Transmission Line package associated with Rihand-III and Vindhyachal-IV super thermal power projects in Madhya Pradesh. The order value is approximately Rs.170 crore and the duration of contract is 21 months. |

TPL Bags First Ever 400 kV Greenfield Sub-station Order |

Hyderabad, December 7, 2010: Tata Projects Limited (SBU – Transmission & Distribution) received an order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, a Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise and one of the largest transmission utilities in the world, for the supply and construction of a new 400/220 kV Sub-station at Saharanpur – part of the Northern Region Transmission Strengthening Scheme (NRTSS) and the extension of the existing 400 kV Saharanpur and 400kV Roorkee Sub-stations in Uttar Pradesh.
The entire project is valued at approximately Rs. 75 crore. The scope of work includes supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the new 400 kV Sub-station at Saharanpur and 400 kV Bay Extensions at Roorkee (9 Nos.) and Saharanpur (4 Nos.), including civil work at both sites and the township at Saharanpur. This is the first ever order bagged by TPL for a new Greenfield 400/220 KV Sub-station. |

Hyderabad, October 19, 2010: At a dazzling ceremony of infrastructure leaders, top technocrats and industrial chiefs held in Mumbai on October 19th, 2010, Mr. A.K.Misra, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, Tata Projects Limited (TPL) , received an award on behalf of TPL for being ranked the third Fastest Growing Construction Company in India in 2009-10 , from His Excellency, Governor of Maharashtra, Mr. Sankaranarayanan.
TPL was also rated amongst the Top 10 Most Admired Construction Companies amongst which it has been consecutively listed for the last four years in – 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. The function, a much awaited annual feature amongst infrastructure players, was organized by Construction World, a leading magazine in EPC sector in the subcontinent and the Gulf countries

TPL Receives a Contract from PKTCL |

Hyderabad, September 3, 2010:
Tata Projects Limited (SBU – Transmission & Distribution) received an order from Parbati Koldam Transmission Company Limited (PKTCL), a Joint Venture Company between POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited and Reliance Infrastructure Company Limited, for supply and construction of 400 kV (Quad-bundle) Single Circuit Parbati II - Koldam Transmission Line, along with D/C portion, associated with Parbati II Hydroelectric Project in Himachal Pradesh. The contract value is approximately Rs.110 crore.
This 76 km long transmission line project will be completed in 28 months.

TPL Authorized to Audit Gas Projects |

Hyderabad, May 4, 2009:
Tata Projects Limited (TPL) has been authorized by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to audit gas projects. It is one among the 11 Companies that have been authorized for carrying out Technical Audit of Natural Gas pipelines and City or Local Natural Gas distribution networks. The audit will be undertaken by TPL’s Strategic Business Unit (SBU) – Quality Services (QS), which is a renowned Third Party Inspection (TPI) services provider in both domestic and
overseas markets.
Currently, SBU QS extends inspection services to sectors such as Pharma, Telecom, Oil and Gas, Power, Cement Machinery, Metals & Minerals and, Chemical. SBU QS has experience in providing inspection services in 28 countries. SBU QS has received approval from the Central Boilers Board as an Inspection Authority under Indian Boiler Regulations for inspection in all countries (except India). It is also accredited by the
NABCB as per ISO 17020.

Hyderabad, April 5, 2010: Tata Projects Limited (TPL) has been awarded the prestigious ‘Excellence in Product Innovation' Award for the year 2008-09 by the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI). The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. K. Rosaiah, presented the Silver Rolling Trophy and a citation to Mr. A. K. Misra, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Tata Projects Limited, at the FAPCCI's 92nd annual awards function on April 5, 2010 in Hyderabad TPL bagged this award in the category of `Excellence in Product Innovation’ for the `Energy Recovery Unit’ used in its mobile truck mounted Sea Water / Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO/BWRO) water purification plants and designed for use also in its skid mounted SWRO/BWRO plants. These RO plants have been designed in-house and their operational efficiency has been continuously enhanced through intense R&D efforts. TPL manufactures RO water purification plants with capacities ranging from 200 to 5000 liters per hour at its factory, Water Purification Plant Development Centre, located at Medchal on the outskirts of Hyderabad. |

Hyderabad, February 8, 2010:
Tata Projects Limited (SBU – Oil, Gas & Hydrocarbon) received its biggest order so far from M/s Emarat (Emirate General Petroleum Corporation) for expansion of Petroleum Storage and Distribution Terminal (other than Storage tanks) at Fujairah, UAE. The project value is approximately Rs.227 crore and its duration is 14 months. This is also the biggest overseas order received by SBU -OG & H so far. |

The project value is approximately Rs.25 crore and its duration is 30 months. |

On a business promotion visit to Hyderabad, India, His Excellency, Mr. Josep Huguet i Biosca, Minister of Innovation, Universities and Enterprise, Government of Catalonia, Spain, and his delegation participated in a meeting hosted by Mr. A. K. Misra, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Tata Projects Limited, and Mr. A. K. Mathur, Executive Director, Tata Projects Limited, here at Hotel Taj Krishna recently.
The objective of the visit, the Honourable Minister stated during his inaugural address, was to develop and strengthen relationships between the two countries and look for opportunities wherein the Tata Group and more particularly, Tata Projects, would cooperate and support future ventures of mutual interest in Catalonia.
A presentation on the Tata Group and Tata Projects Limited was followed by a lively discussion between senior executives of either side. The delegation expressed keen interest in supporting business development in solar energy, railways and water and waste water.
The Ministerial Team comprised of major Catalonian companies such as Ros Roca, Secartys, etc.

TPL receives a contract from Sterlite Industries |

Hyderabad January 25, 2010:
Tata Projects Limited (SBU - Power Generation) received an order from Sterlite Industries India Ltd (SIIL) for Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Balance of Plant (BoP) for 2 X 80 MW CPP Project at Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. The value of the contract is approximately Rs.300 crore and the duration is 22 months. This is the fifth repeat BoP order from M/s. Vedanta Group. Three BoP orders at Chanderia, Rajasthan, and one order at Zawar, Rajasthan, have already been completed. The fourth order is under execution at Dariba, Rajasthan.
We believe that these repeat orders demonstrate TPL’s ability to successfully executing quality projects in time and to the fullest satisfaction of its customers.

TPL receives the biggest order from POWERGRID |

Hyderabad, January 8, 2010:
TPL (SBU – Transmission & Distribution) has received the biggest order from Powergrid Corporation of India Limited, a Navaratna Public Sector Enterprise and one of the largest transmission utilities in the world, for Supply and Construction of 283 km long 800 kV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) Bi-pole Barabisa-Moynaguri-Islampur section of the Biswanath Chariyali-Agra Transmission Line associated with the North East – Northern / Western Inter-Connector- I Transmission system which falls in Assam and West Bengal.
The project includes three 800 kV HVDC corridors in the Chicken Neck area near Siliguri. The value of the contract is approximately Rs.375 crore. This is the single biggest Transmission Line contract awarded by the POWERGRID to any contracting company till date.
The contract was won by SBU-T&D through a process of International Competitive Bidding. This 283 km long project with 778 tower locations is perceived to be extremely challenging in terms of terrain and logistics. The project will be commissioned within 36 months from the date of order.
