Tata Projects have
to their credit of erecting India’s first indigenous 500 MW steam
generator at Tata Power’s Trombay power plant near Mumbai and
country’s first 500 MW steam turbine at NTPC Rihand nagar for
NEI Projects, UK. Currently Tata Projects is associated with installation
of 500 MW Steam Generators at NTPC-Talcher (unit IV & VI) – Rihand
(Unit- III) and Vindhyachal (Unit IX) for BHEL. This was supplemented
by the installation of 120 MW & 210 MW steam generators at Cyprus,
Jojobera & Neyveli. The company created a National record at Talcher
& Rihand by erecting the steam drum in record time, erecting max.
tonnage and max. number of weld joints. Further for the first
time in India, Tata Projects have introduced ‘hydraulic strand
jacking method’ for lifting of 500 MW steam drum at NTPC, Vindhyachal
site. The ESP’s under installation for 500 MW steam Generator
at NTPC-Talcher are the highest capacity in the country today.
On successful completion of 37.5 MW Wadi captive power plant for
Tata Power in Karnataka in the stipulated cost and time, Currently
company is executing the BoP package of 2x210 MW Parichha project
in UP and 2x77 MW captive power plant of HZL for BHEL.
