PUNE METRO (UGC01) – This project involves the design and construction of underground stations from Shivaji Nagar to Civil Court, along with the construction of tunnels connecting Agriculture College to the northern end of Budhwar Peth station.
PUNE METRO (UGC02)- This phase focuses on designing and constructing underground stations at Budhwar Peth, Mandai, and Swargate, along with associated tunnels on the North-South Corridor of the Pune Metro Rail Project.
Pune Metro Line 3 (PML 3), an impactful project undertaken by Tata Projects, spans 23.2 kilometers with 23 elevated stations, offering a rapid and sustainable transit solution. With a design ridership capacity of 30,000 peak hour per direction traffic, the metro ensures a swift 35-minute travel time from Civil Court to Maan, surpassing conventional road travel durations. Operating at a maximum speed of 80 kmph with a 2-minute headway, the CBTC-based signaling system supports GoA2 automation, with a future-ready provision for upgrading to driverless operations (GoA4). The stations, designed for efficiency, facilitate passengers to board, deboard, and exit within 3 minutes, promoting seamless commuting. The present 3-car configuration, comprising 22 trains, is adaptable to a 6-car configuration based on demand.
Focusing on sustainable construction practices, Tata Projects implemented water conservation measures through the usage of admixture in concrete production and curing compound in concrete stabilization. Treated water from various activities like sedimentation tank, curing tank, and STP is efficiently reused in water sprinkling.
